Varifocal Glasses

Correct near sight and far sight difficulties in a single lens without a visible line for a great looking pair of glasses.

If you have difficulty with both short-sightedness and long-sightedness then varifocals could be the thing for you.

Varifocals contain two sight corrections in a single lens. Varifocal glasses are also known as progressive as the correction in the lens changes progressively down the lens.

All that really matters though is that they look great and avoid you having a distinct line or "lens within a lens" look of bifocals.

With varifocals you may need extra information on your prescription to ensure that you get the best glasses for you.

Varifocal lenses can usually be fitted to just about any set of frames, however certain styles aren't suitable for varifocals. These are usually where the frame size is so small that the lens doesn't have sufficient space to fit both prescription strengths in.

Where this is the case you will need to look for an alternative frame. Most online glasses companies will advise if your chosen frames cannot be fitted with varifocal lenses.
